Questions of the Day

My son, Jacob, is very curious. Our family jokes that he has a "question of the day." Here are just a few of them. I'll update as needed... :)

"Do mammals still drink milk when they go on summer vacation?"

Is Mimi (his 97 year-old great grandmother) EVER gonna be a space girl?

Do bees throw up? What color is it? Does it smell?

Who invented seat belts?

Does God work in a button factory?

"If a stegosaurus tries to attack you with his tail, is it better to be wearing underwear, pants and socks?"

Mom: Well, yes...I guess so. Why?

"Because you might bleed if you don't have underwear on."

Mom: Why would you bleed?

"....beCAUSE...the tail has SPIKES on it...and underwear proTECTS you...duh.

First Day of School!

I can't believe it...my baby boy is 7 and in 2nd grade! It seems like just yesterday that he was taking his first steps. His teacher seems really nice (even though she's a longhorn fan). So far, he's liking his classmates and having fun!

All About Joseph

Joseph was born February 5, 2005. He is a cutie-patootie! He's into everything...we've learned that we can't leave anything on any particular countertop or surface, or he'll get into it. He loves the Wiggles, Barney and Blue's Clues. He loves to laugh, and loves to make us laugh. He's a sweetie, and his favorite phrase is "I Do It!" Independence is his middle name.

He attends the preschool where I work, so we see each other during the day. He loves to draw and build things with blocks (and knock them down, of course), and jump off of anything that stands still!

We're surprising him with tickets to the Wiggles concert. He's going to flip out!

All About Jacob

Jacob was born July 27, 2000, and has truly blessed our lives. He loves art, music, his Nintendo DS, and anything that has anything to do with ninjas, pirates, or anything with swords or objects that can inflict harm to his opponent. He is sweet, funny, caring and considerate. He is such a joy.

That being said, he also loves to dance! Sadly, he has received his dance genes from his dad. More about that later...

He is starting second grade on Monday, and he is very excited about it.
